FOR SURFERS, BY SURFERS
In 2015, Daley Shapes was founded by Grayson Daley at the age of 12. Following in the foot steps of his dad who started surfing at the age of 8. Grayson only to do the same but at the age of 5. Originally a local ding repair service, we have been shaping and glassing all of our own surfboards since 2016.
We have shaped and glassed over 75 custom surfboards to date and we continue our ding repair services. This is a home based company for surfers made by surfers.
BASED IN SOUTHBAY
Located in El Segundo, Daley Shapes began as a simple ding repair service for friends and locals.
Our front yard was stacked with used, battered, and broken surfboards so we began repurposing them and reshaping them into new boards. We made our own handboards and surfboards from materials found at home and bought at the local hardware store. We surfed everything we created.
Learning about new board concepts and design, We were shaping and glassing all of our surfboards in a 8'x8' homemade shack throughout 2016-2017. We learned and applied the basics and fell in love with the art of shaping.
Now still based in El Segundo, We are making all of our boards out of a shed twice as big as our last one with twice as much passion. We have worked on over 200+ surfboards.
